Ban Hock Hin was founded in 1939 by Tan San Chwee.
The business started as a bicycle repair shop, and was one of the
pioneers to make the transition from manual to engine-powered two
wheelers as motorcycles became increasingly popular in the late
1950s.
BHH was the first in the industry to introduce computers
and information technology into its operations by purchasing its
first computer system in 1983 at a cost of $200,000. BHH continues
to harness the power of IT in all facets of its operations today.

BHH then expanded from retailing motorcycles to becoming
the largest motorcycle exporter to the region in the mid-1980s.
As times changed, BHH continued to stay in the forefront
of the two-wheeler industry, introducing new service products such
as motorcycle rental and leasing, and providing comprehensive maintenance
programmes for individual and fleet owners. The company also developed
engineering expertise to custom make solutions for the handicapped
and for special transport equipment.
Today, BHH employs cutting edge technology, sound
management techniques and customer-focused policies to deliver a
comprehensive range of two-wheeler solutions to clients. |
